Something oh so petty has been rattling my brain for days now. Why am I so afraid to go try on a pair of size 8 pants??? My size 10 clothing is super loose on me but I'm just afraid to go there. I feel like if I try them on and I don't fit them or don't like how they look on me, I will end up falling off with my progress:( I feel like a kid going to get a shot at the doctor's office. I just cringe at the thought of putting on those pants and realize that I'm not even close to a size 8. So either I purchase a belt or new clothes. I feel so stupid. When I told my hubby, he said to just try on a pair and get it over with. I'm sure how to get over this little hump of fear because once I decide to take that jump, there's no turning back......

I know how you feel - I was that way with size 10s, because how could I be a size 10? But I am. Take at least 10 pairs of size 8 to try on - because there might be a manufacturer who runs small, and what if that is the first pair you try on?
Have fun with your new size, Dee - you are most definitely a size 8...or smaller!
Hey girl! I left you a message on my blog in relpy to your question.
Tey on the new jeans...I waited for ever and looked like a fool in my baggy jeans...the silly things we do to ourselves...lol
Just got your comment again. I am in a size 7 right now. I can wear size 6 also but have a bit of a "muffin top" in those jeans. I was wearing mens size 36 waist...they were falling off...lol.
I hope that answers your questions. If you have more feel free to email me picturewhatieat@yahoo.com
Oh wow!wasn't expecting a response so soon lol. Yes, you answered my question. Now to get up the nerve to try on my size 8. I'm scared of the "muffin top" myself lol. A little off suject, but what day do you weigh-in? What's your goal weight? I didn't see this stuff on your blog lol. I'm just overly curious sometimes;)
Dee~
I get me comment notifications on my blackberry so that is why I was able to answer so fast ;)
I weigh on Mondays. My goal weight is 115lbs. My highest weight was 189lbs. I'm a small girl..small frame and all so that is a good weight for me at my height.
Like I said before you can email me anytime. I get them on my Blackberry so I can answer pretty quick that way or I will chek back on your blog to see if you have any more questions.
I also want to know how those jeans fit. :) I know they will surprise you once you see they fit better than expected.
Good luck with shopping tomorrow and don't worry...I get the same thing from people. I look good in clothes but I can hide my fat well..I still have more work to do to get where I want to be ;)
It's all about making sure that you are comfortable with your weight and your body. Do what you feel is right and that's really all that really matters.
Good for you. Try on that size on 8 and get it over with. I know how you feel, when you have a set back it can take you for a loop.
Well ladies I tried on a size 9 they fit me like a glove!! Size 8, well I have a "mommy tummy" so I still have some work to do. I can zip them up and all, but I think I would be very uncomfortable in them after a few hours. Soooooooo, I'm officially a size 9(without pain lol). I think I'll check again on the size 8 when I'm another 10 lbs. down:)
Dee~
Yay! Your in the single digits! Congrats girl. I'm happy for you!
Thanks Dawn!!But I still have a LONG way to go on this journey.....

Hi Dee! Love the look of your blog. :) I see you recently started viewing mine.
You are much like me in not wanting to go there with the size. I dO NOT want to weigh myself, because I am scared of what the scale will say! All that matters is you are making progress, right?
Stop by and comment sometime.
Have a great weekend!
Becca
Love your blog, Dee.
I'm with your hubby on this one: try the size 8 on. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. And okay, what if they don't fit, or if theyre a little too snug for comfort? Well, then you try them on again in a month and gauge your progress :)
You're doing fantastic by the way. Keep up the great work!
